Abbey Tumbled Blue Brown
To make this stone cobble, the strips of Abbey cut are tumbled in a huge steel tumbler. The stonemasons can either turn the stones so that the soft earth tones are showing or turn the rich colors are on top and bottom so they can be shown. A portion of the quarry yields a soft blue-gray which can be mixed with the earth tone colors of the rest of the quarry. Typically, roughly 50% of the rich colors are turned out.
