Authentic Natural Veneer OKC Stone
Our natural thin veneer is formed from genuine stone that has been sawn to a thickness of approximately 1 inch to 1.5 inches. Every piece is sawn at the top and bottom with careful precision, ensuring a clean, manageable fit with tighter mortar joints and a more organized, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Unlike manufactured products made of dyed concrete, our OKC stone veneer is a fully natural material. As a result, our natural veneer has the same overall weight as its artificial alternatives, while maintaining the durability, longevity, and color consistency of our full-bed building stone.
Versatility for Interior and Exterior Designs
Whether you are planning a complete exterior facade for your office or a sophisticated interior accent in your home, natural thin veneer provides a practical, high-end solution for any vertical surface. This high-end stone product is a reliable option for:
- Modern Exterior Facades: Achieve a clean, architectural look for residential or commercial exteriors with a material that is easy to install and built to withstand the Oklahoma climate.
- Refined Interior Features: Because of its lightweight profile, thin veneer is the ideal choice for interior fireplace surrounds, kitchen backsplashes, high-impact accent walls, and more.
- Remodels and Renovations: Thin veneer allows you to transform an existing brick or siding surface into a timeless stone exterior without the need for major structural modifications.
Frequently Asked Questions About Veneer OKC Stone
Is veneer stone made of real stone?
Yes. At Richburg Stone, we only supply 100% natural limestone and sandstone. While some similar “stone” products are made of cast concrete and surface dyes, our thin veneer is real OKC stone that has been precision-cut (sawn) to a thinner profile with a lighter weight.
What is “sawn” stone?
“Sawn” refers to the process of cutting natural stone into precise dimensions. At Richburg Stone, our natural thin veneer is produced when the back of a stone is sawn flat to a consistent thickness (usually 1” to 1.5”).
Our veneer stones and many of our whole stone selections are also “sawn top and bottom,” which provides level horizontal edges. When placed, this gives the stones a very clean, organized look, making these materials ideal for modern and contemporary spaces.
Can I mix whole building stone and veneer stone on the same project?
Of course! In fact, this is a common practice for many professional construction projects. For example, you might use a whole building stone for the primary structure or retaining walls, and matching thin veneer stone for second-story gables or interior fireplace accents.
Because both material sizes are sourced from the same OKC stone quarries, the color, texture, and mineral character will match perfectly across the entire project.
Does veneer stone fade over time?
Because this is a fully natural OKC stone, the color will not fade significantly in the sun or “chalk” like manufactured products often do. Instead, these features will mature naturally and only gain additional character over time.
Can I use veneer stone for a fireplace surround?
Absolutely. Our natural OKC stone veneer is heat-resistant and highly durable, making it an ideal choice for both interior and exterior fireplace surrounds. It provides a sophisticated, permanent finish that handles the thermal demands of a fireplace with ease.
How do you handle corners with veneer stone?
To ensure your project has the look and depth of traditional full-bed building stone, we offer matching L-shaped corner pieces. These 90-degree units wrap around the edges of columns and wall corners, giving the appearance of a solid, structural block.
What kind of maintenance does veneer stone require?
Because it is a genuine stone, our natural thin veneer is very low maintenance. For exterior applications, an occasional spray with a garden hose is usually all that is needed to remove dust and keep your features looking their best. For interior features, a light dusting or a wipe with a damp cloth will keep the stone’s appearance polished and professional.
Build With Materials You Can Rely On
For any project—from modern commercial building facades to traditional living room fireplaces—it is important to use materials that provide the strength, durability, and visual appeal that you need. If your space requires the character of real, natural materials without the full size and weight of whole building stone, our thin OKC stone veneer may be the solution you need.
